Stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Gorgeous tranquil countryside location with nearby running stream and lots of lovely bird sounds.
The accommodation was extremely comfortable, relaxing, clean and tidy with lots of facilities provided /available.   We were delighted to find some grocery items provided for our stay which was a lovely touch.

Our hosts Morag and Rob are very helpful and their knowledge on the locality and surrounding regions was very useful.  They also run an ebike hire and tour guide facility which made for a great alternative to driving for the day. (www.loughdergebiketours.ie).

Had a great time in Tipp. Would recommend a cycle tour with Rob along the nice quite country roads followed by a relaxing evening on the patio or in the library. We stayed at The Nest recently and had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.  The Nest is modern,  large, airy and spotlessly clean with all the facilities and amenities that anyone could wish for. It is situated in a large mature garden with a stream at the bottom and sitting out listening to the stream and birds was one of many highlights of our stay.  It was so peaceful!

Rob and Morag are also exceptional hosts and will make any stay a memorable experience. Their knowledge of the local area and further afield is second to none.

I had a great stay at The Nest. The space is comfortable, with thoughtful touches and a cosy atmosphere that helps you relax right away. The surroundings are peaceful and full of natural beauty — mature gardens with a river and stunning night skies. I loved exploring the lakeside villages and then relaxing with a book from the library room.

A perfect blend of comfort, nature, and adventure — highly recommended!

The Nest is so much more than an AirBnB. We’ve stayed at a number of nice AirBnB’s but this is in a completely different league. It’s more like a private retreat cabin with modern appliances, comfortable furniture, a fascinating library, exterior decks and spectacular views of the countryside and enormous skies. Morag and Rob are truly thoughtful hosts that have gone well beyond what’s required to offer guests a special experience. We really did not want to leave. And we’re already discussing booking a return visit next year…for much longer! The Nest is located on a single-lane Irish country road so you may need to hold your breath on those blind corners, but If you’re looking for a warm, homey, soul-enriching stay in the Hidden Heartlands of Ireland this one is top notch.

When I arrived, I just went wow. Couldn’t believe the amazing space all to myself for such great value. Lovely welcoming touches like buttermilk soda bread, artisan Irish butter, jams and even 2 cans of Guinness and a can of Heineken, even though I don’t drink. Quality filter coffee and fresh milk. Great authentic Irish hospitality! Thank you. I will be back.
